Photos to come

We went and got our engagement pictures taken today. Im looking forward to seeing them in 2 weeks. We went to Sherman Falls in Ancaster for them , i have to say, i LOVE our photographer, just the shots that we saw on her camera were awesome. Plus the location was amazing! Waterfalls, the leaves in all their colors . I can't wait to see!!!

So we're gonna have to put the wedding plans in Fast Forward come January. We were going through everything that needs to be done. I have a Wedding Planner book by Peggy Post and that is gonna be a huge help knowing when we should be doing stuff. basically Jan and Feb is when the big stuff starts. Ah the fun begins!!!

Finally!!

Ive been dealing with customers for the past 2 1/2 years now complaining that they weren't getting all the same channels as others in their city. This is because the lines weren't upgraded meaning new digital channels were only available where the upgraded lines were in place. The details ...i have no idea, but i do know it's very very expensive and time consuming for Cogeco upgrading lines. Thursday, My area got upgraded!!! I HAVE TELETOON RETRO!! I was so excited!! I love having free cable, i get TMN and now with the upgrade i also get the 4 super channels as well. About 200 channels or more totally free!! i lurve it. Saves a ton of money too, not that we'd have that much if we had to pay, hell no but free is good. My internet is super Cheap, $10 / month and my Phone is the same. It's hard sometimes to say "i love my job" but the perks...are really good.

I had this one really irate escalation yesterday, this ignorant woman who didn't pay her bills then was shocked that she was cut off. (seriously????) Anyway, she starts reaming in how our minimum wage employees are idiots...(ya...we're idiots?? we pay our bills!) And it was all i could do to not squeeze in there the fact that we start out making over double the minimum wage and that i probably make more than her sorry saggy ass. Honestly, when you call your cable company, be nice. Even if you're upset, If you're nice, we WANT to help you. You'd be suprised what i do for the nice ones. They're the deserving ones. If you're a bitch...basically..screw you. If you're gonna be nasty to me then i will follow procedures to the T and no credit's or courtesy unsuspensions for you. If you're nice, Im more willing to use my judgement and give you a break. Come on people!

Update

So ive been asked how it's going and it's going great. Im loving it. THe days are flying by, there's so much to do in SCA. If im not on calls im replying to emails ...friday there was over 300 emails in the customer service inbox to be replied to. Obviously they all didn't get answered! Ive been watching that show, Till Debt Do us Part lately and am really getting into it. The way some people are spending liek 3 times what they make in a month really makes me feel good about myself! Plus it gives good tips on saving money and getting out of debt. One of the challanges the lady usually gives the couple is to earn an extra $100 one week for extra's. If you want extras , earn the money for it, rather than charging it and getting in debt. Well, I will be getting a raise, 2 actually, my yearly raise based on my performance last year, then once that's calculated, i'll get my SCA pay raise. Because it's based on my income and the percentage, they have to wait till my regular bonus comes through to know what percent increase to give me, but I won't get that till the end of november. It'll be retro dated , and im taking that as my "extra" cash.

Al's gone to Sherkston today to help his parents close up the trailer, and im doing laundry at home and cleaning .. fun fun. Tomorrow will be Thanksgiving Dinner at lunch...at his parents house. mmmmturkey. There's only 55 days left till we sail away on a Carribean Cruise. yay! the best part...it's already paid for. Now the only $$ we save is spending money. yay!!! i can't wait!!

anyway,...off to tear the bed apart and do more wash!

SCA--Interview continued

I got the job. I signed the contract on Thursday and today is my first day as SCA. It's a contract position, so it's only untill Nov 30th,but you never know what can happen. yay!
